The Basic Plot

The alien life form Purity (also known as the Black Oil, Black Cancer, Grey aliens, or Colonists) first visited Earth millennia ago. Its main force left the planet due to increased cold (which deactivates their viral life force), leaving behind underground deposits of their Black Oil form to be reconstituted upon their return. While away from Earth, the Colonists sought out life throughout the universe in an effort to conquer and subdue other species. Their plan was to return to colonize the Earth, exterminating mankind in the process.

In exchange for the survival of the Syndicate and their families when the colonization occurred, they agreed to be turned into alien/human hybrids and to prepare the world for the eventual invasion. The date for recolonization was firmly established for December 22, 2012, so that both sides could work on creating an alien/human hybrid before the arrival of the Colonist fleet. These hybrids, if successful, would serve as a slave race for the Colonists; the Syndicate and other chosen humans would receive the hybrid genes and be spared. The Syndicate’s assigned tasks were to create an alien/human hybrid through gene therapy and to find an effective way to spread the Black Oil virus on the day of colonization. In exchange for the Syndicate’s cooperation, the Colonists handed over alien embryos as a source of genetic material for the hybrid experiments, as well as allowing limited military use of their technology and resources (such as the Alien Bounty Hunters), and promising that the heirs of the Syndicate members, who were turned over to the Colonists as an act of good faith, would survive the takeover.

For the hybridization project, civilians were abducted and experimented on in concert with the aliens.

The alien virus would be spread by aggressive Africanized bees, infected themselves by genetically modified corn.

The Syndicate worked effectively in secret, hidden in plain sight by working from positions of power within the United States military and many other governmental agencies, as well as other lofty societal positions such as doctors and business leaders. They implemented sophisticated cataloguing and surveillance systems to perform their work, using governmental and private facilities and train boxcars to create a work force made up of clones and hybrids, all the while relying on German and Japanese experts from World War II.

The aliens pretended that mass infection by the Black Oil would make humanity a controlled slave race, but in reality new alien beings would be birthed inside human hosts, resulting in re-population rather than recolonization.

Likewise the Syndicate secretly conducted research themselves, searching for a vaccine that would render humans immune to the Black Oil and save every person on the planet. When the search for a vaccine began to give back results, the first successful alien/human hybrid was created, meaning that the colonization was to begin immediately. But the Syndicate fell victim to members of a different alien race, rebel Shapeshifters who struggle against Purity’s supremacy.

With the Syndicate eliminated, the infrastructure for the colonization fell to the hands of the Colonists, who returned to their original plan: modifying human DNA to create nearly indestructible Supersoldiers. The alien rebels and the remaining human resistance don’t seem enough to prevent the inevitable impending colonization.
