G’Kar’s investigation leads him to a close call with death at the hands of Shadow fighters. He then arranges for the Narn military to investigate the world of Z’Ha’Dum. Franklin and Sheridan use the alien healing device (cf. The Quality of Mercy) to bring Garibaldi out of his coma. With Talia’s help he identifies who shot him. Delenn emerges from the Chrysalis.
Londo: One desserts his post without any explanation. The other one, picks the most breathtakingly inconvenient moment possible to explore new career options, like becoming a butterfly.
G’kar: Things fall apart, the center can not hold. Mire anarchy is loosed upon the world. The blood dimmed tide is loosed and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned. And what rough beast, it’s hour come round at last, slouches towards Bethlehem to be born.
G’Kar: I searched for days, going from one system to another. Then, on dark deserted worlds, where there should be no life, where no living thing has walked in over a thousand years, something is moving, gathering its forces, quietly, quietly… hoping to go unnoticed. We must warn the others, Na’toth. After a thousand years, the darkness has come again.
G’kar: I have looked into the darkness, Na’Toth. You can not do that and ever be quite the same again.
Londo: Why don’t you eliminate the entire Narn homeworld while you’re at it? Morden: One thing at a time, Ambassador. One thing at a time.
G’kar: Then all our races stand on the edge of extinction.
G’kar: Weep for the future Na’Toth. Weep for us all.
